Join us for an unforgettable celebration of community and tradition, inspired by the heart of Germany. This year, we're bringing an authentic Oktoberfest experience to downtown Douglas with no admission fee, focusing on the spirit of Gemütlichkeit—a warm sense of community belonging and well-being. We're closing off the downtown area, creating the perfect setting for a lively gathering, and showcasing a special exhibition of Wyoming brewers across from our historic Hotel Labonte. We’re also excited to feature traditional German Oktoberfest foods.
"Ein Prosit" is a traditional German toast meaning "a toast" or "a cheer" for health and happiness. It is also often shortened to simply "Pros't" or "Prost." At our Oktoberfest, we invite you to join in the fun by raising your stein and clinking glasses with friends old and new. Celebrate good times and great company as we embrace the festive spirit—a Pros't to an unforgettable Oktoberfest!

Sidewalk Chalk Contest at Oktoberfest 2024
Open to ALL ages!
Time: 11:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Theme: Draw your favorite fall-inspired art!
Some ideas include:
● Trees with changing colors
● Autumn leaves or scenic landscapes
● Pumpkins, hot chocolate, or scarecrows
● Farm trucks carrying hay or pumpkins
● Anything that reminds you of the beauty of fall!
Instructions:
1. Choose your fall-inspired subject to draw.
2. Create and color your artwork using sidewalk chalk.
3. Write your first name and age next to your artwork (Ex. Jen, age 5).
4. Go to the OECC table to register your artwork with the judges.
Judging: At 3:30 PM, judges will review all the entries and select winners from each age group.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at 5:15 PM, prizes from Domino’s and the Plains Ice Cream Parlor will be awarded to the top entries in each category.

Their professional stage and state-of-the-art sound system will transform our event space into a vibrant celebration hub, ensuring crystal-clear audio and a visually stunning environment for all festivities. Attendees will enjoy top-tier sound quality during live performances, including those by the Deer Creek Brass Band, adding an extra layer of excitement to the celebration.
With Dynamic Audio Sound and Light on board, every aspect of our Oktoberfest is elevated. Their expertise will ensure that every moment—from lively toasts to energetic performances—is unforgettable.

We are deighted to announce the Deer Creek Brass Band will be joining us at our Oktoberfest celebration! Get ready to tap your toes and sway to the music as this local oompah quintet will be joining us from Glenrock to bring infectious energy and joyful melodies to the stage from 1 to 3pm. Enjoy lively polkas and heartwarming ballads that perfectly complement the Oktoberfest spirit. Whether you're clinking steins or dancing along, their brass magic will keep the festivities going strong. Come for the tunes, stay for the fun—let the Deer Creek Brass Band make your Oktoberfest unforgettable!

"Wyoming is Now Fifth In Nation For Craft Breweries Per Capita and the Numbers Continue To Grow" according to Cowboy State Daily (25 June 2024) Many of Wyoming's Best Brewers will be featured in the Oktoberfest Wiesn!
